About Roye

Roye brings more than twenty years of experience to her healing work as an acupuncturist and holistic nurse. She has been interested in natural medicine approaches since her childhood. Raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains, she has always been drawn to nature and its healing benefits. Roye studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at Tri State College in New York City where her education included several different styles of acupuncture and diagnoses techniques. After starting her practice and witnessing the multiple benefits of acupuncture, she returned to school and became a registered nurse to provide truly integrated, holistic care. She was honored to be part of the Integrative Medicine Program at Atlantic Health Systems in NJ, where she provided care as an Integrative Nurse Coordinator and Acupuncturist. In this position, she collaborated with dedicated colleagues to create and provide complementary medicine programs for outpatient oncology and neurology patients as well as providing pain reduction and stress management care to hospitalized patients and their families.

In addition to extensive training in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Roye has continued her love of complementary medicine by studying Functional Medicine, Integrative Nurse Coaching, Jin Shin Jyutsu (Japanese energy healing technique) and other mind-body modalities to help with stress management and wellness. She will be providing acupuncture and holistic nursing care to her patients at the Apothecary and looks forward to lifelong learning and love of her art.

Roye resides in Ellicott City with her husband and beloved dog. She loves music, nature, and family and spends her free time outdoors as much as possible, enjoying all the diverse beauty that Maryland has to offer
