Intro to Decode Your Metabolism: Using a CGM to Optimize Blood Sugar Before It Becomes a Problem

Most people wait until their A1c is elevated to pay attention to blood sugar but it begins to fluctuate years before lab values become abnormal. A Continuous Glucose Monitor, or CGM, allows you to see in real time how your body responds to:

  • Specific foods, Portion sizes, Meal timing

  • Exercise, Sleep quality, Stress

This class is designed for non diabetics and for those who have been told their A1c is ‘borderline’ or creeping upward.

What We Will Cover

  • Blood sugar and insulin basics, what actually drives spikes

  • What optimal glucose patterns look like

  • Practical food and lifestyle strategies that flatten spikes

  • How to obtain a CGM: We will also raffle off two free CGM sensors during the April 1 class!

  • How to interpret CGM data

  • How to use CGM feedback to prevent rising A1c, insulin resistance, and diabetes risk

You will leave with a clear framework for experimenting safely and intelligently.

Follow Up Group Review: For those who choose to obtain their own CGM, we will host a follow up group session in mid May. This allows approximately one month to obtain a sensor and experiment using the April guidelines. In that session, we will review findings together and identify patterns, wins, and areas for improvement in a collaborative setting.
